Jakarta; pump it up...

First of all, we got quite a few emails of people who are worried about us being in Jakarta with all the bad news of flood and others...

Do not worry, in the places where we are, it's fine...about 50cm in the streets...and as indonesians do, they just put their pants up and go about their usual business with a smile.

Kids enjoy the opportunity of swimming in a mix of sewage water and oily water from the road...

People make some extra money by pushing the cars out of the biggest ponds or selling inflatable boats in the midst of the jams...

Schools and shops take advantage to declare "hari libur'..holiday...

Even a flood can be an opportunity to make some money; selling inflatable in the morning traffic!

Jakarta, which is usually a big mess becomes just a little more messy, but no major...we hear though, that it has been quite dramatic in some other neibourghoods...so we just hope for the best for those unlucky people...
