Noumea (NC)-Bundaberg (OZ) : 8 days on 260° compass!I've just written a huge french version of our adventures, and I'm running out of time, so you guys will have the light version...unless you want to bush up on your french...;-)
Leaving Noumea took 4 days, as we did a first start, got a motor failure, came
back to Noumea, then got stuck because the tradewinds let us down. made an offering to Maui, Poseidon, Neptune and the others, by trowing salt, Tequila and lemon over board...just so that the Gods remember the name of our boat for further references... The first 3 days were a little rough with 4m swells...which seemed VERY rough to
our unacustomed stomacs... days wondering what was the fun of all this??? We got the answer with the night of the 3rd day. The sea calmed down and our stomacs too...Tequila was all sails up in a nice wind, we could cook good food and plunge into our supplies of wine and chocolate.
All sails up, the wind, the sea, the sun : shear well being!!!
stars.
Typical evening on board Tequila : sunset, a glass of red wine and the sound of the captain's guitar
Approaching Australia, we saw dolphins, globicephales, whale 3 or 4 times a day.
Hervey Bay and its approach boast the lushest sea life we've ever seen. part from 1 rapala that got bite away overnight the 2nd night, the only fish we saw in our plate for 8 days was canned tuna!!! 08:48 - 23/09/2006 - Ajouter un commentaire
