Half Way Around the word without a plane

Dive in Cairns

We couldn’t be in Cairns without checking out the Great Barrier Reef, so we went for a dive.

It was much more commercial than it is in New-Cal (ie 20people on the boat, mostly germans and dutch…), but the efficiency and relaxed attitude of the crew made it very nice.

The reef is quite similar to what we can see in New-Cal, with much less fish life. The corals, on the other hand are more varied, and we saw some that we hadn’t seen before.

Romain and Vincent found a superb clam and were waiting for a naked Venus to come out, whereas I pointed out the huge quantity of achard (some sort of chilly mix that they make with fishes and veggies in New-Cal) that could be made out of it.
